Ok, so I’m moving into a new apartment on September 1st. Both my roommate and I are moving from out of state, and neither of us has much in terms of worldly possessions.
We’ve already each secured a bed, table/chairs, and a chair for the living room. I’ve also secured a desk and bookshelf. But we need a lot of other stuff. Off the top of my head:
- Wireless router
- Couch
- End tables
- Coffee Table
- Iron/Ironing Board
- Swifter
- Cleaning supplies (including sponges, rags, hand/dish soap, plunger and toilet cleaner)
- Toilet Paper and Paper Towels/holder
- Trash cans and bags (bathroom/kitchen)
- Tool set
- Cookware (pots/pans/cutlery/utensils/plates/glasses/bowls)
- Shower lining and rings
- Bath mat
Is there anything else I’ve forgotten? What are the best means of securing these items? Have at it in the comments…

One thing we really used quite a bit was a tool kit. Also, we got a thing of disposable wipes to wipe down surfaces.
Microwave and toaster are unnecessary… we use the broiler to toast, and don’t need a microwave.
I changed my address for all of my accounts, so thanks for that reminder.
Hangers were taken care of.
